Alexandra Kolb, Principal, Castle High School East Campus
With 13 years of experience in education, Alexandra Kolb is dedicated to fostering success for all students at Castle High School. Born in Puerto Rico and raised in both New Jersey and Florida, she pursued higher education at the University of Central Florida. Her journey began at Hillsborough Community College, where she initially studied Crime Scene Investigation and Social Services.
Driven by her own experiences growing up in a low-income, single-parent household, and moving between schools and homes, Alexandra committed to breaking the cycle and creating opportunities for others. Her primary focus has always been on empowering students with the tools they need to thrive academically and personally.
Outside of her work, Mrs. Kolb enjoys attending wrestling tournaments and participating in various student activities, demonstrating her commitment to supporting students in all aspects of their lives.
Richard Trojanski - Dean of Students
Dean Trojanski is dedicated to creating an equitable, inspiring, and safe learning environment at Castle High School East Campus. Currently serving as the Dean of Students—a position he earned in 2023 after working as a Credit Recovery Teacher—he firmly believes that every student deserves to feel valued. To achieve this, he focuses heavily on collaboration, bringing together teachers, families, and the Maple Heights community to support student success.
Dean Trojanski brings a rich background in leadership to his role. He holds a degree from Xavier University, where he was inducted into the Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit Honor Society, and was a David Bohnett Leaders Fellow at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. Before transitioning to education, he spent 14 years serving his community as a Maple Heights City Councilman and Council President. Today, he continues his civic engagement on the boards of the Maple Education Foundation, the Cleveland Stonewall Democrats, and the Cuyahoga County Democratic Party Central Committee. Outside of his professional life, he is an avid traveler, model train enthusiast, and college basketball fan.
